winter robbery

California was definitely robbed of its winter season like always and I'm over here sweating profusely. I just want to layer and be cute in Penny Lane inspired coats is that so much to ask for?! These photos are from a winter trip to New York awhile back where I got to really sartorially express myself. The freedom of dressing the way you want to regardless of what others think is a liberating feeling.  There's the sense of really staying true to yourself and creatively having fun with clothing pieces. Others will always be opinionated but the only opinion that truly matters is your own. So own what you wear and don't let the fear of judgement stop you, but easier said than done. I know that even sometimes I get discouraged from dressing up in a particular style because people thinking "I'm trying too hard", but what is with that concept any way?! I am trying because getting dressed to me is a form of art which I hold of importance to me. If I didn't care at all my art would not be produced. I look forward to wearing different outfits because it's always a treat to try new things and see where my mind takes me.
